Event Description:
Welcome to the CREATE Drone Challenge Unveil! This tournament will be the first look at the 2020-2021 Challenge!
Teams that sign up will be given an exclusive first peek look at the 2020-2021 CREATE Drone Challenge - ???? (We can't tell you too much yet!) This event will be part of the Aviation STEM Day at the Millard Airport. This much larger event is a great opportunity for not only drone teams, but anyone interested in a career in aviation. Public displays open at 8:00 am and go through 3:00 pm. The Drone Challenge competitions will be in the big hanger a long with a paper airplane folding and flying competition. Young Eagles will be giving airplane rides to youth that have never flown before in their National Day of Flying. We will be renting at least one big tent for exhibits and other hands on youth activities. Metro will have their demonstration trailer and we will have a seminar on Aviation Weather by NOAA and the FAA will be conducting seminars on “Loss of Control” for pilots and student pilots. Other events are being planned and scheduled. All this AND this event is a qualifier for the Drone Tournament at the U.S.Open Robotics Championship, April 8th-10th, 2021.

A total of 8 teams will qualify from this event. In the case of double qualifiers, the next highest ranked ACE finisher will be invited.
